What is Lunchtime Live?

Lunchtime Live is a weekly series of live videos on my YouTube channel. It’s a chance for us to chat about what’s new at Stitches n Scraps. Think of it as a video newsletter, where you can participate too! I start each episode with a look at the latest posts on the blog. Then I move on to any announcements and sneak peeks at what’s coming up in the following week. Finally, I end the episode with a demo or short tutorial.

For 2022, the demo portion will be a featured stitch of the week. I’ll show you a different stitch pattern each week, alternating between knit and crochet stitches.

Stitch of the Week: Knit Beaded Rib Stitch

This week’s stitch of the week is the knit beaded rib stitch. It’s a stretchy ribbing stitch that, while not truly reversible, is pretty from both sides. The basic pattern for this stitch is:

Row 1: P2, (k1, p1, k1, p2) across.

Row 2: K2, (p3, k2) across.

In the live video, we’ll look at adjusting the stitch for various stitch counts, as well as options for neater edges.
