What is Lunchtime Live?

Lunchtime Live is a weekly series of live videos on my YouTube channel. It’s a chance for us to chat about what’s new at Stitches n Scraps. Think of it as a video newsletter, where you can participate too! I start each episode with a look at the latest posts on the blog. Then I move on to any announcements and sneak peeks at what’s coming up in the following week. Finally, I end the episode with a demo or short tutorial.

For 2022, the demo portion will be a featured stitch of the week. I’ll show you a different stitch pattern each week, alternating between knit and crochet stitches.

Stitch of the Week: Crochet Linen Stitch

This week’s stitch of the week is the crochet linen stitch. This simple texture alternates between single crochets and chain spaces to make a beautifully light and drapey texture.

The general repeat for this pattern is (sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, sk next sc). In the video, we’ll look at how this comes together, and how to deal with the edge stitches for an odd or even stitch count.
