What is Lunchtime Live?

Lunchtime Live is a weekly series of live videos on my YouTube channel. It’s a chance for us to chat about what’s new at Stitches n Scraps. Think of it as a video newsletter, where you can participate too! I start each episode with a look at the latest posts on the blog. For 2022, the demo portion will be a featured stitch of the week. I’ll show you a different stitch pattern each week, alternating between knit and crochet stitches.

Stitch of the Week: Knit Rosette Stitch

This week’s stitch of the week is the knit rosette stitch. This creative combination of decreases produces a wonderfully textured fabric. It’s easier to make than it looks! Try it out in this Rosette Stitch Scrunchie Pattern.

To make a rosette stitch, first purl 2 together, but do not remove the stitches from your needle. Then, k2tog into the same 2 stitches and remove them. That’s really all there is to it! See this full tutorial for a closer look.
