Mosaic Sampler Blanket Pattern
This tutorial video shows the 6th and final section of the Mosaic Sampler Blanket. The blanket pattern is divided into 6 sections, each with a different stitch pattern. It also includes instructions for 3 different sizes from a small baby blanket to a large afghan.
The video follows along with the written pattern, and you will need to refer to the pattern for specific stitch counts for the various sizes.
This final section has now been added to the pattern post, and the pattern is complete. Check the MKAL post for the giveaway details and tutorial links for the previous sections.
Basic Stitch Anti-Pilling yarn
Lion Brand generously provided the Basic Stitch Anti-Pilling yarn for this design. It’s a super soft yarn with a silky feel and a little bit of shine.
Enter the MKAL giveaway for a chance to win 6 skeins of this fabulous yarn! See all the details in the main KAL post.
Choosing a Bind Off
At the end of this last section, you’ll need to bind off your blanket. Try to choose a bind off that matches your cast on edge as closely as possible. Don’t be afraid to experiment! If you’re worried about dropping stitches, you can add a lifeline before your bind off, so that you can rip out and re-do with ease as many times as you like.
For my sample blanket, I used a cable cast on. I tried both a simple bind off and a decrease bind off, and found that the simple bind off looked the best to me.
