What is Lunchtime Live?

Lunchtime Live is a weekly series of live videos on my YouTube channel. It’s a chance for us to chat about what’s new at Stitches n Scraps. Think of it as a video newsletter, where you can participate too! I start each episode with a look at the latest posts on the blog. Then I move on to any announcements and sneak peeks at what’s coming up in the following week. Finally, I end the episode with a demo or short tutorial.

For 2022, the demo portion will be a featured stitch of the week. I’ll show you a different stitch pattern each week, alternating between knit and crochet stitches.

Watch Live, or Watch Later!

Tune in here to watch live at 11:30 am, US Central Time on November 3rd, 2022. Join in the conversation with the live chat! You’ll be able to ask questions and leave comments, which I can respond to in the video.

If you can’t make it during the live broadcast, that’s ok – you can watch the full episode after it’s over.

Stitch of the Week: Knit Bee Stitch

This week’s stitch of the week is the knit bee stitch, which is in the brioche family of stitches. While not exactly the same, knitting into the row below creates a stitch very similar to a brioche knit stitch. This technique gives the bee stitch it’s puffy texture.

The basic pattern is:

Row 1: K

Row 2: K1, [k1b, k 1] across.

Row 3: K

Row 4: K2, [k1b, k1] across to last st, k1.
