What is Trinity Stitch?
Trinity stitch is essentially a single crochet 3 together decrease. Each trinity stitch has 3 legs, which is what gives the stitch its name.

The first leg goes in the same stitch or chain as the last leg of the previous stitch, so only 2 unused stitches or chains are needed for each trinity stitch. Adding a chain-1 between trinity stitches maintains the stitch count.
Abbreviations Used in This Tutorial:
| ch | chain |
| sp | space |
| st(s) | stitch(es) |
| yo | yarn over |
How to Work the Trinity Stitch
Trinity Stitch (trinity st): Yo, insert hook in last sp/ch/st worked into, yo and pull up a loop, [insert hook in next sp/ch/st, yo and pull up a loop] twice, yo and pull through all 4 loops on hook.
Work a chain-1 space between trinity stitches to maintain the stitch count and create the pattern. When worked in rows, single crochets at the beginning and end of each row keep the edges straight.
