What is Lunchtime Live?

Lunchtime Live is a weekly series of live videos on my YouTube channel. It’s a chance for us to chat about what’s new at Stitches n Scraps. Think of it as a video newsletter, where you can participate too! I start each episode with a look at the latest posts on the blog. Then I move on to any announcements and sneak peeks at what’s coming up in the following week. Finally, I end the episode with a demo or short tutorial.

For 2022, the demo portion will be a featured stitch of the week. I’ll show you a different stitch pattern each week, alternating between knit and crochet stitches.

Stitch of the Week: Crochet Bean Stitch

This week’s stitch of the week is the crochet bean stitch, which is a modification of the puff stitch. By skipping a yarn over, you create a space on the side of the stitch that you can work into on the next row. This small change makes the stitches lean forward. Changing directions as you turn for each row then creates the lovely zig-zag texture.
