Free Pattern – Daydreamer Cardigan
This is the final piece of a 4 piece set, designed to match my Puffy Pinwheel Hat, Striped Booties and Dreaming of Pinwheels blanket. The Anne Geddes Baby yarn by Red Heart quickly became a favorite of mine through these projects, and I hope I have a chance to work with it again soon. It’s soft and squishy, but strong too, and comes in beautiful, bright colors! This pattern has instructions for sizes 0-6 months, 6-12 months, and 12-24 months. The images show the 6-12 month size. Last Minute Gift Ideas
I know, I know….I haven’t posted a thing since Thanksgiving! I’m sorry I’ve been so quiet. I’m still here, just a bit swamped right now with a couple of projects that I can’t tell you about yet. Isn’t that the way it always goes at this time of year? Anyway, I just wanted to peek in and say I haven’t forgotten about you all, and I promise I have lots of fun stuff in the works and should have a new pattern out to you soon. Meanwhile, if you’re looking for a last minute gift for someone on your list, or a great hostess gift for that holiday party, here are…

Free Pattern – Non-stop slippers- Baby sizes
These boxy-toe slippers are worked all in one piece, never needing to break the yarn until you’re finished (unless you want to incorporate more colors). The sole is worked first, with the rest of the slipper built up from there, which makes it easy to add a 2nd sole for extra padding if desired. These slippers can also be a great blank canvas for your creativity – make them your own by working different sections in different colors, adding a drawstring around the ankle, or adding your favorite embellishments! The Non-Stop Slippers pattern is available in a total of 9 sizes, from infant all the way up to adult, so you can make a pair for everyone! This…

Your feedback matters!
I’m far from perfect (yes, yes, I know, it’s hard to believe, but it’s true! ☺) Recently, a lot of people have been making my Crocodile Stitch Pixie Hat, and have been nice enough to share their pictures and thoughts on their Ravelry project pages. I LOVE to see comments and particularly pictures of your projects! It lets me know what is working and what isn’t. With this pattern, it seemed that the hat was working out a bit small for several people, and that several others were making adjustments to it to make it bigger. Based on this feedback, I have updated the pattern to increase the sizes (what…

Free Pattern – Crossed Cables Square
This is one of four 5 inch squares I made as homework for a crochet retreat. It’s a relatively easy pattern and works up quickly. The cables give it a bit of texture, with one crossed row in the middle just for fun. This pattern is protected by copyright. Free Pattern – Li’l Pumpkin Hat
A couple of days ago, I shared with you my Puffy Pinwheel Hat pattern. One Friday evening, I was working on that pattern at my LYS, and my friend Annie said “that looks like a pumpkin!” Well of course she was right (she usually is), and of course I had to make a pumpkin version. How could I not? Please note this pattern is for the stem, leaves, and vines only. To make the complete hat, you will need the free Puffy Pinwheel Hat pattern as well. This puffy, slouchy hat matches my Striped Booties and Dreaming of Pinwheels blanket. It’s made with the same Anne Geddes Baby yarn by Red Heart, which is machine washable and soft, with just enough stretchiness. Pattern Review – Crochet Mannequin Heads by 5 Little Monsters
Meet Shane (yes, I name my mannequin heads). He’s about a 6 month old baby hat model, and I made him using the free pattern Crochet Mannequin Heads by 5 Little Monsters. The pattern is easier than I expected and very well written – a beginner would have no trouble following it. Those of you who know me though, know that I can never make a pattern exactly the way it’s written. There’s always something I want to tweak or change to make it my own, and this one was no exception. Unfortunately this time, I wish I had just followed the pattern, and I didn’t realize my mistake until after…
