What is the Scrappy Stitchers Stash Bash?

Every month in 2020, I’ll release a new, free crochet pattern using only yarn from my stash. Each pattern will be designed with either a single skein of yarn, or small amounts of several colors. Crochet along, and use up those single and partial skeins in your stash too.

There’s more! I plan to pair each pattern with a giveaway prize that relates in some way to the pattern. This is still in the planning stages so I don’t have all the prizes lined up for the full year just yet, but should soon.

How to participate

Here are the ways you can join in the fun:

  1. Join in the community – Get updates and chat with others about the projects on the Scrappy Stitchers Facebook group.
  2. Tell your friends – The more the merrier, so spread the word about the Stash Bash!
  3. Make the patterns – Can you make all 12 from your stash, without buying any new yarn?
  4. Share your progress – Finished projects and/or works in progress, share all your pictures of your Stash Bash projects with the group!
  5. Use the Hashtag – Whenever you post about the CAL, use the hashtag #ScrappyStitchersStashBash so we can easily find your posts. You can also search that hashtag on social media to see what others are posting.
  6. Support the sponsors – Sponsored prizes make events like this more fun. Each pattern in the Stash Bash will highlight a sponsor. Be sure to visit their sites and show them some love!
