  • Scrappy Stitchers Link Party 48 - January 2019

    Scrappy Stitchers Link Party #48

We took a break from the Scrappy Stitchers Link Party in December, and now it's time to start up again! If you had projects you wanted to share last month, feel free to share them this month.

  • Groove is in the chart - A free knitting pattern on Stitches n Scraps

Free Pattern – Groove is in the Chart – Harmony Blanket Square #45

Groove is in the Chart is pattern #45 in the 2018 Harmony Blanket Knit Along. The ridges and valleys in this square look like textured stripes from the top, but when viewed at an angle, a hidden image appears! This remarkably easy technique is called illusion knitting or shadow knitting and uses just the basic knit and purl stitches.  The pattern includes both written and charted versions of the instructions.

  • Scrappy Stitchers Link Party 47 - November 2018

    Scrappy Stitchers Link Party #47

The October Scrappy Stitchers Link Party was our largest yet. We had plenty of projects linked up, and lots of people voted too. Let's see if we can't make this month's link party even bigger! The most clicked link last month was the Classic Raglan Cardigan from Joy of Motion Crochet. Congrats to Joy of Motion for the lovely design! Will your project be most clicked this month? Link up and find out!

  • Mod Stripes Towel - a free crochet pattern on Stitches n Scraps

Free Pattern – Mod Stripes Towel

Funky, fun, and festive, everything about this towel is just a little bit off kilter. The uneven stripes have raised edges that flow in one direction, and the textured wattle stitch is an asymmetrical variation of the V stitch. You can even change the look entirely depending on how you fold it. Show off the bold striping pattern, or fold it in thirds lengthwise and it becomes solid red with a thin decorative border! With so many options to fit any decor, the Mod Stripes Towel makes a unique gift that can be used all year.

  • Autumn Air - a free crochet pattern on Stitches n Scraps

    Free Pattern – Autumn Air

Autumn is in the air! The Autumn Air cowl, with its blocks of fall colors, will take you through the season in style. This entrelac technique is a great introduction to the basics of Tunisian crochet, because it's worked one small square at a time. I am releasing this design in sections, as a crochet along. Please see the main Autumn Air Cowl Crochet Along post for information on how to participate. This pattern post will be updated with new sections as they are released.
