The pattern for this month was the Ladybug Teapot Cozy by Annette Stewart. It’s definitely cute, and worth the effort despite a few stumbling blocks along the way.
Final June Tea Cozy Thoughts
The designer updated the pattern to clarify some of the parts that were confusing, so it should be easier the next time around.
I like the fact that this cozy has a thick bottom, so no hot pad is needed when using it. However, the way it goes together on the teapot feels a little awkward. The body is secured around the teapot with a button near the handle, and the lid is secured over the top with a button near the spout.
Get Ready for July!
The next cozy will officially kick off on July 2nd. If you can’t wait, check the Tea Cozy Tuesday Ravelry group on July 1st for a sneak preview!
