Tea Cozy Tuesday – July – Week #2
Our Tea Cozy Tuesday pattern this month is relatively uncomplicated as far as yarn goes. But it offers loads of fun possibilities for embellishment! How are you decorating your cozy? See what I chose plus some July pattern tips.

Materials
This month we are making the Beehive Tea Cozy by Pattons.

From my stash, I have a skein of Red Heart Super Saver in Gold. It’s the perfect shade of yellow for a beehive! I also picked up these cute Favorite Findings “Bee Happy” buttons to finish it off.
July Pattern Tips
The pattern doesn’t specifically need embellishments, but they make it so much more fun! You can even make your own.
The pattern includes an optional bee applique made with yarn wrapped around cardboard. I want my cozy to be easily washable, so I chose buttons instead. A needle-felted or crocheted bee would be another great option!

are you going to be making one too?

Sadly, no. I have gift knitting as my top priority right now. In spite of that, I started a top for my two year old using some stash yarn…lol I definitely can’t start ANYTHING else (I’ll just keep telling myself that). 🙂
