Materials

This month, we are making the Granny Tea Cozy by Crochet with Raymond.

The pattern calls for DK weight yarn in multiple colors. I plan to use up all the Lisa Uni yarn that I have left over from my April cozies and my May cozy.

August Pattern Tips

You might think this pattern is written in UK terms because the author mentions 8-Ply wool, but it is not! It’s written in US terms so no conversion is necessary.

Many of the patterns we have made so far have involved making 2 pieces and sewing them together to create holes for the spout and handle. This pattern is instead worked all in one piece, joining and breaking the yarn where needed to form the holes. It’s a good idea to weave in ends as you go, or you will have lots of ends to deal with when you’re done!
