Free Pattern – Striped booties
I made these fun, striped booties to match my Dreaming of Pinwheels blanket. They’re made with the same Anne Geddes Baby yarn by Red Heart. I love the colors, and the acrylic / nylon blend means it’s strong and machine washable too. This pattern has instructions for sizes 0-6 months and 6-12 months This pattern is protected by copyright. Free Pattern – Dreaming of Pinwheels
This whimsical blanket combines my Windy Square and Pinwheel Square patterns. It uses a couple of different joining techniques and a simple striped border. It is made with Anne Geddes Baby yarn by Red Heart, and it has come out really soft and squishy. I had to resist the urge to cuddle up in it myself! At the end of the pattern, I have included a couple of suggestions for alternate color combinations. I have quite a bit of extra yarn left over, so I plan to make another coordinating item – maybe a sweater. I don’t have anything in mind yet so it may be some time before I have…

Free Pattern – Pinwheel square
I love to watch pinwheels spinning in a warm summer breeze. Because of the color selection, Anne Geddes Baby yarn by Red Heart was an obvious choice for this project. It comes in a wide array of colors, including those vibrant, bright shades that can be so hard to find in a baby yarn. It’s also a great weight for a baby blanket, and the acrylic / nylon blend means it’s strong and machine washable too. This square was designed to coordinate with the Windy Square pattern I released earlier. The two squares are used together in my Dreaming of Pinwheels blanket. This pattern is protected by copyright. Free Pattern – Windy Square
This “windy” blanket square makes me think of a gentle, warm breeze on a bright spring day. I wanted the design to be solid, but still feel light and airy. The yarn that immediately came to mind is Anne Geddes Baby yarn by Red Heart. It’s soft and squishy like a billowy cloud, with a subtle hint of sheen. It’s a great weight for a baby blanket, and the acrylic / nylon blend means it’s strong and machine washable too. I’m working on another square that will coordinate with this one, and should have that for you soon – be sure to follow this blog so you don’t miss it! See the “follow this blog” options…

Free Pattern – Bunny Bag
This cute drawstring bag is the perfect addition to any Easter basket! It can be used in so many different ways. It’s just large enough for a few treats. You could also fill it with potpourri and sew it shut just under the drawstring for a pretty sachet. You can make it larger or smaller by using thinner or thicker yarns too. There are so many options! This pattern is protected by copyright. Free Pattern – Crocodile Stitch Pixie Hat
This free pixie hat pattern uses fingering weight yarn and is available in 3 sizes ranging from 0-24 months. It was inspired by and designed to match the Crocodile Booties pattern by Bonita Patterns. To add to the set, check out these free crocodile stitch scratch mittens from Layla’s Crochet too! NOTE: Your feedback matters! Feedback from several users has indicated that the sizing on this pattern was coming out too small. The pattern has now been updated (11/6/15) to increase the sizing for all three sizes, and also to increase the difference in sizing between the 3 sizes. If you purchased a pdf download of this pattern, you should soon receive…

Free Pattern – Snowman Ornament with a Bowtie and Fez
This crazy snowman looks cool in his brown jacket, bowtie, and fez. Yes, a fez. I imagine he’s a Shriner…or maybe he picked it up as a souvenir on a visit to the middle east. Snowmen need vacations too you know! Either way, the fez hides a secret – behind it, there is a small loop for an ornament hook. The pattern calls for fingering weight yarn and size 10 crochet thread, to make an ornament that is about 3 inches tall. You can easily use the pattern to make a larger snowman if you like, simply by using thicker yarns. This pattern is protected by copyright. Please do not…
