My Week 9 Progress

My blanket is nearly finished! It’s going to need a bit of extra blocking when it’s all done.

I ran out of yarn in all three colors just making the squares. Since this was supposed to be a stashbuster, I didn’t want to buy 3 new skeins. Instead, I did all the joining and edging in dark blue. That way I only needed 1 more 1 lb skein.

Since I didn’t have the nice color changes for the edging, I decided to start working in back loops at Round 2. That added a bit of definition to each round.

This week was supposed to be 2 rounds of edging, but I made it through 3. I’m pretty happy with the size of this blanket now, so I plan to only do one or two more edging rounds, and then go on to the scalloped border.
