The April pattern was the Daylily Tea Cosy for Mother’s Day by Jenny Stacey. It was so much fun to make, that I made 2 of them! They fit my teapot nicely, and also look great on a small glass bowl.

Final April Tea Cozy Thoughts
I didn’t add the drawstring that the pattern called for. Using a scrap piece of yarn, I tied the top to see what it would look like and decided it just wasn’t necessary.

So pretty! No wonder you made two! 🙂 I like it all synched up. I haven’t looked at the pattern, but I guess you use a crochet chain or ribbon to close it?

Yeah, the pattern suggests a drawstring option – but it actually stays cinched up like that fairly well without tying, and I like the way it looks without having the extra cord dangling down. I may leave it as-is and see how it holds up…if it starts to flop I can add a drawstring later 🙂 ooh on a side note, if you fold the leaves under, it works as a trivet! I used it that way yesterday
