Free Pattern – Eyelets in the Stream – Harmony Blanket Square #2
Eyelets in the Stream is pattern #2 in the 2018 Harmony Blanket Knit Along. Rolling waves are punctuated by rows of eyelets, for an eye catching square that’s fun and easy to make. The pattern includes both written and charted versions of the instructions.
The Harmony Blanket KAL is a knit-along event hosted by the Underground Crafter, Creative Crochet Workshop, and myself. Together with a great team of guest designers, we will be bringing you 48 blanket square patterns throughout the year. Each pattern will have the same border, so that they can easily be combined into a blanket!
Lion Brand has generously provided us with their lovely Vanna’s Choice yarn for free, to use for our designs. It’s a washable, worsted weight acrylic yarn that’s a great choice for blankets. For more information about the event and links to the patterns, be sure to visit the main #HarmonyBlanket post. I hope you’ll join in the fun!

I just found square number 1

no problem! 🙂

I followed instructions and the finished square doesn’t come out 6″. The width is fine, but, the finished length is longer when knitted using the complete instructions. I had to skip the instructions for the last “Repeat 5-13”.
Am I doing something wrong?
Pia Thadani
how much longer was it? If you post a picture on the facebook group I can take a look…. it’s possible your gauge is just different than mine – row gauge can be hard to match. If you want to have all 3 “waves” you could possibly eliminate 2 of the stockinette rows on each side of the eyelets (i.e. rows 12-13 and 17-18…with the repeats that would be enough to get you the full design.
Ginny
Thank you for your reply. I did not knit the instructions for the last wave and I knitted couple stockinette rows and finished with the border. Doing this, it will be a 6″ square.
Again, thank you.
Pia Thadani
Ok, sorry it didn’t all fit 🙁 I double checked my square and it’s just about 6 1/8 inch in both directions.
Ellisen
Thanks so much for offering this square. Best to you.

Hi. In the written directions there appears to be a typo.
For the top border it says rows 42-42. I think that should be rows 42-46. Repeat row 2. Then bind off.
Pia Thadani
eek you’re right, that is a typo! it should say rows 42-45 (4 rows). I will fix it now. Thanks for the catch!
