A very last minute change of plans

Tomorrow morning, bright and early, I’m heading out to San Diego for the Knit and Crochet show. I can’t believe it’s finally here! I’ve been looking forward to this for months. As you may remember, I had made this overly complicated but totally “me” binder to put all my important info in.

I had filled it with receipts and information about flights, hotel, classes, etc, as well as all my registration materials for the show. Even my homework and class fees were in there. I fully intended to carry this with me every minute of the next 5 days. Today, as I’m about to leave, I changed my mind and decided not to take it with me after all. Why? Because I found THIS one instead!

It’s a basic zippered binder, with a couple of convenient pockets, which I just stumbled across at Staples today. The cool part is, it has a shoulder strap, so it can actually work as my carry on! I’ve moved everything over to this binder instead, and there’s still room to fit my tablet. My crochet project for the airport fits in my purse, so I’m all set. I think this will be easier to manage at the show too – and that way the pretty binder won’t get ruined and I can use it as a scrapbook when I get home.

I likely won’t be posting for the next week or so, but I’m sure I’ll have lots and lots (and lots) to share with you when I get home!
