Labor day is over, school is back in session, and there seems to be a pumpkin flavored version of absolutely everything. It’s finally Autumn and I’m so excited – I love this time of year! That also means we’ve made it 2/3 of the way through the year now, and there are only 4 tea cozies left.
The pattern for this month’s tea cozy is the Broken Rib Tea Cozy by Pamela Hendersen. Here’s the pattern page on Ravelry. At first glance, it may not seem overtly Autumn themed. Just take a look at some of the Ravelry projects made with this pattern though, and you’ll see why I picked it.
Several of the projects show how people modified the pattern to make a pumpkin. There’s also an Apple Tea Cozy pattern that is another modification. With these projects as inspiration, I’m excited to see what everyone comes up with this month!
I think I’m going to try for an apple, but may make a different leaf. If you find leaf, stem, or other patterns that you use to modify this cozy, please tell us all what you used!
