I’ve worked up 8 pairs of these fingerless mitts so far, and I’ll most likely be making another pair or two tonight! You can get this free fingerless mitts pattern here.
I saw other patterns with ribbing, but they seemed to all be worked sideways, with the ribbing running horizontally across the hand. I decided I wanted vertical ribbing so the gloves would be extra stretchy. This way I was able to make gloves with the exact same pattern for all different people, and they all fit really nicely!
These are good stash-busters too – I was able to use up all the yarn I had left over from my double knit scarves project. In the end, for all 8 pairs of gloves, I only needed to buy 2 skeins of yarn! When I didn’t have enough of one color for a pair, I just added a couple stripes of a second color. That turned out to be fun, so I just kept doing it. Check out all the different looks I was able to achieve!
