A friend of mine suggested that I put together a binder for my upcoming trip to the Knit and Crochet Show this year. She showed me one of her old ones, which had travel and hotel details, registration confirmations, class information, etc. – basically everything she would need to organize her trip. I thought this was a brilliant idea and put it on my “I’ll get to it someday” list.
Apparently today was someday. I was at the store, saw a binder on sale, and then this happened:
Can you tell I’m just a little bit excited about this trip? I think I may have taken this a little further than I should have for something that I will be carrying around with me for 4 days straight. After all, it is just paper. If it survives, I will convert it to a scrapbook. If not, well, at least it was fun!
It’s all done with washi tape and random bits from my scrap bin. I started with one paper I liked and then just pulled out anything else that had similar colors, and went from there. Most of the paper is actually from my wedding album (green and purple were my wedding colors). I used sticky dots on the letters, even though they are already stickers, just to make them more secure. I hope it works! The quote on the back (in case you can’t see it) is by e.e. cummings and says “It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.” I can honestly say this binder is 100% me!
