Tutorial – How to Make a Quilled Carrot

I’ve been working on a scrapbook page of pictures from a friends baby shower. The event had a garden theme featuring bunnies (Peter Rabbit, I believe) and was absolutely adorable. Just look at this bunny with his carrot stash!

There are a couple of collage pictures that I’m going to use for the page, which can sometimes make it look busy. To keep it more balanced, I kept the embellishments to a minimum. I really wanted a small carrot embellishment though, and I decided to try making it with my quilling comb. This was my first time using this tool and it turned out great!

I placed it on top of one of the photo corners that I used to hold the invitation. This way it will look like it’s stuck on top of the corner of the invitation, but without messing up or altering the actual invitation. Take a look at how I did it in this video tutorial.
